Crews working in Collinsville to restore power.
Tulsa's power grid takes a beating during Friday's high wind and thunderstorms.
By 8:00pm Friday, PSO Spokesperson Ed Bettinger said 14,400 PSO customers were without power due to the weather.
That number fell dramatically later into the evening.
The damage was so extensive, repairs could take until Saturday at 4:00pm, Bettinger said.
PSO's distribution system took hits from tree limbs, pieces of tin roofs, and the wind itself knocking down lines.
Bettinger said most customers will have service restored before Saturday at 4:00, and that estimate was a worst case scenario.
