One Person Killed Another in Critical During a Shooting

One person was killed and another injured in a shooting in south Tulsa early Saturday morning.

Police responded to a shooting near 71^st Street and Riverside Drive around 1:30 a.m.

Officers found two men in a car in a church parking lot. Both were taken to the hospital. The passenger of the car died at the hospital, and the driver was listed in critical condition late Saturday morning.

Police have identified the passenger as 18-year old Kristjan Thorsson. The driver is identified by Police as 37-year old John White.

Police said the shooting appeared to be the result of an altercation that began in the neighboring QuickTrip parking lot.
