Local sports bars and restaurant owners told Channel 8 they are excited to see the return of football season. They said football season is one of their most profitable times of year. However, they said they were fielding numerous calls Saturday from OSU fans, disappointed about the PAC-12's decision to air the game on DISH.

"We cannot air the OSU game," said Leon's manager Ashley Boyd. "It's no good. I've probably had, I'd say, at least a hundred calls just today. 'Do you guys get the OSU game?' It's going to hurt us a little."

Many local bars were unable to air the OSU game Saturday, given the PAC-12's recent agreement with DISH.

"I was getting excited to see them this year," said a fan. "I'm kind of mad that we can't see them play today."

Still, the bar managers Channel 8 spoke with said business is great regardless, thanks to the return of football season.

"Sales are really good for us," said Buffalo Wild Wings Tulsa Hills' General Manager, Gary DeWint.

Managers explain that football fans come to watch full three-hour games and often stay for more than one. They see increased sales due to the lingering crowds.
