180 Jobs Coming to Tulsa

Tulsa, OK -

The groundwork is set. Clear Edge Filtration is infiltrating Tulsa. "They made a tremendous investment in the community bringing about 180 new jobs," said Tulsa Metro Chamber Senior Vice President Jim Fram.

There's another advantage too. Clear Edge is moving it's headquarters here. It's 175,000 square feet of opportunity that's under construction inside the Greenhill Distribution Center Industrial Park near Highway 169 and 46th Street North. "We're very excited about it. We can't wait to be in the new business," Clear Edge Filtration's CEO Rick Von Drehle told Tulsa's Channel 8. Von Drehle says right now, only nine people are housed in small office space at 21st and Lewis, but business is booming. "We sell into mining minerals and chemical process plants and that business has been expanding around the world and our market share has been increasing. We feel very bullish about our business and our growth prospects," he said.

The Chamber credits the quality of life here and the quality jobs program for the move. "When they hire people there's actually a cash incentive rebate for the number of people that they employ back to the company in cash payments," explained Fram. Both men admit that's quite the incentive. However, it's the pay you're likely to get that may have most in the metro excited. The people who work at the company can expect to make a respectable living. Von Drehle says the math is still being worked out, but here's a hint of what's to come. "We'll have about 40 salaried people with everything from accounting to administration, customer service and sales people," said Von Drehle. Lots of manufacturing jobs will also be available. The facility won't open until early 2013 though. The company will start advertising ways to apply for positions closer to the deadline.
