Oklahoma defensive line just got a lot stronger. Senior defensive tackle Casey Walker returned to the Sooner practice field this afternoon.
Garland Texas product missed the first two games of the season for personal reasons.
He started eight games for the Sooners last season and registered 17-tackles for Oklahoma.
Walker hasn't been with the team since about three days before the season opener against UTEP.
He will add much needed depth to the OU defensive line, but how ready will he be to play.
"I shouldn't take long to get him back. Hopefully he'll have a good practice tonight (Monday)." OU Defensive Coordinator Mike Stoops said, "He's a big part of what we do. He gives us another very stout body in the middle. BHe's played some great football for us and we're excited to get him back and going stronger than ever."
The Sooners have the week off. They will host Kansas State on Saturday, September the 22nd in Norman at 6:50pm.
