Bill Young Returns To The Sideline

Posted: Updated:

Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Bill Young is making a comeback this week.  He's back in the saddle after missing the first two games of the season for an undisclosed medical procedure.

In his 44-year coaching career Young had never missed a game.

Young said he's been given clearance by his doctors to return to practice.  Just not actually practice.  Coach with a little humor there seems to be in very good spirits.

He said it was nerve racking listening to the Cowboys loss to Arizona on the radio Saturday.

And he had a very specific message for his players when he got back.

"That that's a missed opportunity.  We'd like to have that one back.  We'd love to have a chance to play them again." Said Young, "But we're not going to get that opportunity.  We had our chance and they took advantage of it and we didn't.  We've got to put that game behind us and look forward to Louisiana."

The Cowboys will face the University of Louisiana, Saturday at 11:00am at Boone Pickens Stadium.
