Bad Weather Cancels Weekend Neighborhood Party

Rain cancels a city councilor's neighborhood event.

Councilor Jeannie Cue said Friday that the beach volleyball party scheduled for this Saturday at Helmerich Park has been called off.

Inclement weather is to blame for the decision. It will be rescheduled at a later date which has yet to be determined.

The event is sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). The FOP donated $1,000 to each council district so that each of the 9 city councilors could host their own district-wide event.
