When the Kansas State Wildcats come to Norman Saturday to face the Sooners there will be reunions all over the place.
Tulsa native and former Booker T. Washington product Tyler Lockett will return to his home state.
Plus, Bob Stoops will reunite with his mentor. As many of you know Coach Stoops was once an assistant at Kansas State for Wildcats head coach Bill Snyder in the early to mid-90's.
Everytime these two teams hook-up it's like old home week.
Bob spent 7-years in Manhattan, KS. The year he left the Cats won 10-games. But those first few seasons were tough.
Stoops says he didn't know what he was getting himself into.
"Coach Synder called, I was at Kent (University). I had only had a full time job for nine months before Coach Snyder hired me. It never entered my mind that we wouldn't win." Stoops said, "I didn't know how bad it was until I got there. Being young and naive I never thought wouldn't win. And sure enough, little by little we won more and more and more.
5th-ranked Oklahoma will host #13 Kansas State Saturday at Owen Field at 6:50pm.
