Broken Arrow City Council Appoints New City Manager

City Council unanimously voted to appoint city manager today at council meeting.

Thom Moton was unanimously appointed city manager at the Broken Arrow City Council meeting this morning.

"Through this interview process, Mr. Moton stood out to me, the other councilors, as well as the other groups that participated," Mayor Craig Thurmond said.

Thurmond also added that Moton is a true visionary that can help lead Broken Arrow into the future.

Currently, Moton is the Interim City Manager for the City of Greenville, North Carolina. His previous positions include Assistant City Manager for the City of Greenville and Assistant Dean of Ellis County Center in Waxahachie, Texas.

The City Council will consider an employment contract for Moton at the next council meeting on October 2.
