Hollywood Arrives In Bartlesville

Posted: Updated:

Dateline, Bartlesville, where the who's who of the silver screen have descended yet again.

"You know, it's interesting, this is the third movie we've actually had in the last 6, 7, 8 years," said chief of police Tom Holland.

Down at Pyramid grocery store, normally the closest you come to the stars is Red Box. These days...

"Juliette Lewis was in here last Sunday and Ewan McGregor was in here Monday," said manager Alex Bennett.

Wow, the stars in the flesh, must be weird.

"It's very weird, but they look just like normal people," he said.

But their diets must be anything but normal, as the fru fru Hollywood types go for the all natural.

"Yeah now that might be some of the draw that they're coming in here we have the big organic selection," he said.

And when they're not eating healthy...

"It was a surprise," said Jerry Stahl, owner of a local liquor store where George Clooney showed up. The clerk got a photo with George and Murphy the dog got his own meet and greet.

"He ran in first and ran right up to him," he said.

And speaking of Mr. Clooney...

"There was some confusion, rumor went through town that, people were mistaking me for George Clooney," said chief Holland.

And why not, as the chief not only looks like him, but acts just as well. Here's a scene from that George Clooney favorite, O Brother Where Art Thou?

"Hold on there - I don't want this pomade, I want Dapper Dan," said the chief.

"I don't carry Dapper Dan. I carry Fop," said Burt.

"No! I don't want Fop! Dang it, I use Dapper Dan!" said the chief.

"Watch your language, young fellow, this is a public market. Now, if you want Dapper Dan I can order it for you, have it in a couple of weeks," said Burt.

"Well, ain't this place a geographical oddity - two weeks from everywhere! Forget it! Just the dozen hairnets!" said the chief.

And cut!
