Three-Year-Old Muskogee Girl Attacked By Family Dog, Parents Arrested

Muskogee, OK -

A three-year-old girl was transported to a Tulsa hospital yesterday afternoon after being attacked by the family's pit bull.

Muskogee Police Department were on the scene after 911 received a call of a pit bull attack Thursday afternoon. The condition of the girl is unknown and charges have yet to be filed.

The name of the girl has yet to be released, but KRMG Tulsa reported that in the event of the girls death, charges would be brought upon the mother.

The girl's parents were arrested Friday.

Chelsea Richardson, a 23-year-old Muskogee resident was arrested on outstanding warrants and one charge of child endangerment. The father, James Richardson was arrested as well, though not for reasons connected with the incident.

Both are being held at the Muskogee County Detention Center.

The case will be transferred to the District Attorney's office once MPD is done taking statements.
