Woman Files Lawsuit Against Victory Christian Church

Court records show that a new lawsuit has been filed against Victory Christian Center.

The state's court records network lists Victory Christian Center as the defendant in a civil complaint.

KTUL.com is not releasing the name of the woman who filed it, but she is the mother of one of the alleged female victims in the ongoing investigation of child sexual abuse at the church.

In the case, the plaintiff brings two issues: one that the church intentionally inflicted emotional distress and the other of general negligence.

Court documents show the mother accuses the church of doing its own internal investigation for damage control and not for the well being of the child.
