Miami, OK -

Staff members at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College are hosting a wellness fair on campus today.

The Second Annual Wellness Health Fair will take place from 9 am to 2 pm inside the Student Activity Center at NEO. The event is free and open to the public.

"The Health Fair will help those who attend to become better informed about how diet, exercise and other practices affect our health," said Donna Hale, yoga instructor and NEO First Lady. "The choices that we make either positive or negative have a lasting effect on our quality of life."

She also said that there are opportunities in the area to better the health of people and many aren't aware of them.

NEO Medical Lab Technicians will be on hand conducting health screenings from 7-10:30 am today and Wednesday. The health screenings are $25 and include a complete metabolic panel and lipids.

The fair also will have yoga and zumba breakout sessions for participants at no cost to them. Free exhibitor booths, door prizes and tobacco cessation break-out sessions will be offered in the O-Club Room.

For more information or to reserve an exhibitor booth, contact Chad Davis, wellness coordinator, at chad.davis@neo.edu or call (918) 540-6098.
