On the eve of the Tulsa State Fair, crews are making sure the event is safe for everyone.
Inspectors from the Labor Department checked every ride Wednesday to make sure there are proper connections for the parts that must be assembled.
There are five inspectors on site during the fair.
They will do random checks throughout the 11-day event.
"I'm proud to say Oklahoma has among the top three highest standards in the country and the most strenuous inspections," says Mark Costello of the Oklahoma Labor Commission. "The public demands it."
If inspectors find a problem, the ride is shut down.
In some cases, operators could face fines or even legal action.
