Oklahoma City (AP) -
The Oklahoma Supreme Court has ordered a new multicounty grand jury to be convened.
In its order Wednesday, the state's highest court assigned Oklahoma County District Judge Barbara Swinton to preside over the grand jury, which has the authority to investigate criminal matters in all 77 counties.
Assistant Attorney General Charles Rogers is the chief of the AG's Multicounty Grand Jury Unit and will lead the grand jury.
Attorney General Scott Pruitt requested the new multicounty grand jury on Sept. 12.
The state's 13th multicounty grand jury ended in August and issued 25 indictments, charging 31 individuals.
