Tulsa Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Opens New Entertainment Area

An opening celebration will be held today at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for a new gaming entertainment area.

The new area is a two-story, non-smoking gaming and hospitality experience, with 500 additional electronic games, 15 more table games, a poker room and a food court. The ceremony will begin at 10 am in Tulsa at the location on I-44 and 193rd E. Ave.

According to the release, the new construction replaces an area that was lost in the February 2011 blizzard. Additional construction on a new 10 story hotel tower will be complete later this year.

Construction for the entire expansion is $52 million and the Hotel & Casino expects the property to employ nearly 1,500 people when the new tower and gaming floor open.
