Fatal Car Accident In Stephens County

A woman was killed after her vehicle hydroplaned in Stephens County early Sunday morning, Sept. 30.

25-year-old Misty Dawn Eggers was driving eastbound on Highway 7 at 2:55 a.m. when her vehicle hydroplaned and ran off the road.

According to troopers, Egger’s vehicle struck a concrete drainage ditch, pinning her for two hours before Velma Fire Department and Evans Wrecker Service were able to free her.

Eggers died at the scene from massive injuries, said troopers.
