Taxes To Rise If Tax Cuts Not Renewed

The average middle-income family with an annual income of 40 to 64-thousand-
dollars could see their taxes go up by 2-thousand-dollars next year if a
lengthy list of tax cuts are not renewed by Congress.

Among the cuts set to end are Bush-era cuts on wages and investment income, cuts for married couples and families with children - and also expiring is a 2 percentage
point temporary payroll tax cut championed by President Obama.

If the tax cuts are allowed to expire---the government would see a revenue increase of
more than 500-billion dollars.
