Texas Tech Win Helps The Sooners As They Get Ready For Texas

Posted: Updated:

OU-Texas week is upon us.  In the past the winner of this game had the leg up on the South Division title and the Big 12 Championship.

But this year both teams have already lost in league play.  So the winner keeps itself in striking distance of the conference leaders.

Texas dropped their first game of the year against unbeaten West Virginia, 48-45 on Saturday.

Oklahoma lost to Kansas State a couple of weeks ago, but the Sooners come into this game coming off what could possibly be a season turning win over Texas Tech.

"High energy the whole game and I think it was a confidence boost for everyone, defense and offense." OU Defensive End R.J. Washington said, "We alright, we alright.  We do have the tools and the people and the plays and the coaches to get where we what to get.  This season is far from over."

The Sooners will take on the Texas Longhorns Saturday at 11:00am at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX.  You can see the game on Tulsa's Channel 8.

Tune a little extra early to watch our Red River Rivalry Pregame Special at 10:30am.
