Tulsa Woman in SUV Hits Group Crossing Street

One woman is in the hospital and the other is in jail after she hit a woman crossing a street in north Tulsa early Tuesday morning.


Around 1:30 am, a group of women were crossing Sheridan north of the I-244 Crosstown Expressway.


Police said that a car driven by Willmeka Randle, 26, hit one of the women in the group.


Randle, a resident of Tulsa, was driving an SUV with friends when they hit the woman. Authorities said she had been drinking prior to the accident this morning.


The woman hit was transported to a local hospital with a possible broken bone. No one else in the group was hurt.


Randle is due in court next Thursday.
