North Tulsa -
Tulsa County Sheriff Deputies arrest two men after they allegedly passed counterfeit $20 bills to undercover deputies.
Detectives say they were in the parking lot of the QuikTrip at 200 N Gilcrease Museum Road when Frederick Edwards, 22, asked them if they had two $10 bills in exchange for a $20 bill.
They continued to watch as Edwards and Gregory Hines, 26, asked a female for the same thing.
The undercover deputies then followed the two men to the nearby McDonald's. The two men went through the drive-thru and reportedly paid with a $20 bill.
The clerk took the money, then motioned for a manager. That's when Edwards and Hines drove off and left the bill.
The undercover deputies requested marked sheriff deputies for assistance while following the men to the Sonic at 1000 W 23rd.
Deputies confronted Edwards and Hines and found 38 $20 bills on Hines.
Hines is being held on 38 counts of possession of a forged instrument, which was counterfeit U.S. currency.
Edwards is being held on one count of possession of a forged instrument and is being held on previous larceny complaints.
