Human Services Commission Voted for Former Tennessee Deputy Commissioner

The Human Services Commission voted and have offered the director of the department of human services to a retired Tennessee deputy commissioner.

Edward Lake, retired deputy commissioner of Tennessee Department of Human Services will consider the job offer in Oklahoma before making a final decision.

Lake retired in 2011 after serving as deputy commissioner, a child welfare caseworker, food stamp office supervisor and both as a county and regional director in social services. He served as the deputy commissioner from 1992 to 1996 and named again in 2003 up until he retired.

THe Oklahoma Department of Human Services has been searching for Director Howard Hendrick's replacement who retired in March after nearly 14 years in the position.
