Memorial H.S. Breaks Ground On New Sports Arena

  Tulsa Public Schools breaks ground on a new sports arena at Memorial High School at 58th and S. Hudson.

  The Memorial Veterans Arena will be more than 55,000 square feet and feature seating for more than 1,200 for basketball, volleyball and wrestling events.

  The facility will also include an auxiliary gym, locker rooms for varsity and junior varsity teams plus visiting teams and referees.

  There will also be new offices for coaches, a hospitality suite and a Spirit Store.

  The project costs nearly $12 million.

  Memorial High School is also preparing to celebrate it's 50th anniversary.
