Broken Arrow Homeowner Fires Shots Against Burglary Suspects

Police are looking for two suspects involved in a first degree burglary in west Broken Arrow Friday morning.


At approximately 9:30 am, Broken Arrow officers responded to the 500 block of N. Aster Avenue, south of West Kenosha Street, in reference to a burglary in progress.


Officers were told by the homeowner upon their arrival that two white male suspects forced entry into her home.


In her statement to the officers, the homeowner said she heard a knock on the door and peeked out the window to see two unknown white males. She said she became uneasy after she heard one of the suspects state that dogs were in the house.


The homeowner then proceeded to retrieve a revolver and shortly after the two suspects kicked in the front door. She said one of the suspects was carrying a handgun.


According to the BAPD, the homeowner said she fired three shots at the suspects, causing them to flee the area in possibly a 90s model Ford passenger vehicle. The vehicle had dark tinted windows and a sunroof.


The first suspect is described as being approximately 5'8" in his mid 20s with short, light hair and was wearing a dark sweatshirt. The second suspect is described as being approximately 5'8" in his mid 20s with brown hair and was last seen wearing a dark gray/blue sweatshirt.


It is still unknown whether either suspect involved in the crime was injured as a result of the homeowners gunfire. BAPD are still continuing their investigation at this time.
