Sooners Defense On The Rise

Posted: Updated:

The Sooner Nation is riding high after branding a big ole "63-21" on Bevo's backside Saturday at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Oklahoma had every aspect of their game clicking.

The Sooners defense was dominate for the second straight week.  They looked a lot like the Mike Stoops defenses of old.

"I believe we did.  And I believe we played pretty well against Kansas State also.  A team that's averaging... heck we gave them 17 points on defense.  Not a lot of people are keeping them lower than that." OU Head Coach Bob Stoops said, "I think over the last two weeks the one defense has surrendered just one touchdown to both those teams.  So that's pretty strong when you look at what those two have done to other teams."

The Sooners return home to Norman Saturday for the first time in three weeks.  Oklahoma hosts 1-5 Kansas Saturday at 6:00pm.
