Prue, OK -
As Prue Public School students are on fall break, one of their former teachers is accused of breaking the law.
Katie Hightower is in the Pawnee County Jail, on second degree rape and providing alcohol to someone under 21. "I'm just totally disgusted," said Prue resident Robby Evans. According to court documents, on August 17th Katie Hightower took a teenage boy and three others to the lake. The students said she also bought all of them beer before brining them to her Terlton home. While there, the students say they overheard her and the boy having sex. "I've met her. She's actually been to my home, and I would have never thought anything like that. Professional all the way," Evans told Tulsa's Channel 8.
The news isn't so shocking to Clint Ward. "It's wrong, but there's nothing shocking about it. True story. Everybody does it. You got judges, police, everybody, preachers, teachers," he explained. "If convicted, Hightower could face up to 15 years in prison for the second degree rape charge and five years for the alcohol charge.
