FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -

Former Arkansas football players Marquel Wade and Andrew Peterson have been sentenced to six months in jail and five years' probation for their roles in on-campus burglaries.

Wade and Peterson each pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of residential burglary in Washington County Circuit Court.

The two were arrested, along with former teammate Maudrecus Humphrey, on May 12. According to arrest reports, the three stole textbooks, DVDs, laptops and more than $4,800 in cash from a university dormitory.

Arkansas coach John L. Smith said in August the three wouldn't be a part of the team this season, though he did leave open the possibility they could return next year.

Humphrey's sentencing date is scheduled for Oct. 31.
