Union Student Sentenced In Bathroom Picture Case

A Union High School senior learns his sentence after taking a photo inside the men's restroom on campus.

Jonathan D. Devito, 18, of Tulsa pleaded guilty to two charges relating to that incident on August 29th.

A judge sentenced him to 15 months deferred probation for each count. Devito must serve 60 hours of community service, with 20 hours served speaking to students about bullying.

Prosecutors said Devito snapped a cell phone photo of another student using the restroom. The picture showed a young man facing a urinal with his pants around his ankles and buttocks exposed.

Devito then sent the photo out on Twitter. Fellow students saw the photo and alerted a teacher who then told administrators and authorities.

Devito's case is up for review in December.
