Turn Tulsa Pink Kicks Off Compassion Week With Blood Drive

Posted: Updated:
Tulsa, OK -

Turn Tulsa Pink is teaming up with the Red Cross to save lives.

Shoppers at Woodland Hills and the Promenade Malls generously gave their blood Saturday afternoon.

This particular drive was for cancer patients because those fighting cancer and getting chemotherapy treatments often need blood.

This event kicks off Turn Tulsa Pink's Compassion Week.

Organizers at Woodland Hills say turnout is great this year.  "Tulsans are good folks," says Jan Hale from the Red Cross. "It's a great day to save a life."
