Kohl's Department Stores is presenting a $79,113 donation to The Children's Hospital Foundation at Saint Francis on Tuesday.
The money will be used to expand childhood obesity prevention and awareness programs developed by Saint Francis.
Organizers say Kohl's Fun and Fit Kids program is designed to help educate the community on how to make healthy choices every day regarding food and activities.
Last year the program reached nearly 15,000 students at eight school events and eight community events including the Tulsa Heartwalk, Sweetheart Run, BooHaHa and Mayfest.
As an inspection of the Ozark Pipeline continues at the floor of Oologah Lake, the company overseeing the project is working to assure everyone that there is no reason for concern.
