Far too many of us, spend too much time in front of computers and other electronic screens.
That sets the stage for a lot of low-level pain.
Jim Morelli is a national expert on the subject, who says that a little common sense can bring a lot of comfort to our lives.
Morelli says simple aches and pains have reached an epidemic level in our society and lot of it has to do with our lifestyles.
Many of us aren't exercising enough.
He says we should all have 30-minutes of exercise every day, to strengthen our muscles and bones.
If you have pain from too much activity, such as running or yard work, you can use your medicine cabinet to help.
Morelli suggests a drug store analgesic like Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen.
He doesn't like aspirin, despite the fact that it can be a good remedy for some people.
Morelli says it can cause bleeding in the stomach, even at a low dose.
So it's not the best option for pain relief.
He says another problem, that doesn't get enough attention, is eye strain.
While most people experience the problem, they don't do anything to correct the problem.
One answer is to look up from your screen after 20-minutes, for 20 seconds, at something that is more than 20-feet away.
He also says to try to sit, with good basic posture and with your wrists level to the keyboard.
You don't want them tipped back at a sharp angle.
Preventions goes a long way to stop routine aches and pains.
There are also some foods that reduce pain in the body.
Morelli suggest eating salmon, but all kinds of produce have benefits.
So be sure to eat your fruits and veggies.
