When #5 Notre Dame and #8 Oklahoma meet this Saturday in Norman it will be more than just two historic programs clashing.
It will be a game of two pretty darn good football teams. It should be a classic offensive and defensive battle.
The Sooners are fifth in the country in scoring offense. While Notre Dame is second in the country in scoring defense.
OU averages almost 45-points per game and have scored 35-touchdowns this season.
The Fighting Irish give up a little under 10-points a game and only six touchdowns on the year. None of those were rushing touchdowns.
"That is unbelievable! Not a single touchdown. Give them a lot of credit." OU Center Gabe Ikard said, "They're really touch inside with Louis Nix and those guys up front. Really big bodies so it makes a lot of since with the guys on the d-line and front seven that they have. It's just another challenge we'll have."
The OU-Notre Dame game can be seen on Tulsa's Channel 8 at 7:00pm Saturday. Tune in at 6:00pm for our pregame special.
Kristin Dickerson, Mark Bradshaw, Rick Pendergraft, John Moss and Chris Lincoln will be live from Norman to get you ready for the big game.
