The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating a homicide victim that was discovered Wednesday, Oct. 24.

The body was found along 960 Road, southwest of Wellston. Deputies and agents spent the night collecting evidence and documenting the crime.

The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death, however, investigators need the victim identified in order to develop leads in the case.

The male victim had a tattoo on each arm. On his right, the arm has three initials tattooed and on the left arm is the symbol of a cross.

Investigators are requesting that if someone knows who the victim could be, to call either the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017 or the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 1-405-258-1191.
