In today's world, nicknames are almost as recognizable as people's real names. The same can be said inside the football locker room.
At OSU, seemingly every player has a nickname around his teammates. When No. 24 Oklahoma State travels to face No. 2 Kansas State on Saturday, the Cowboys will be facing perhaps the best nickname in the NCAA: Optimus Klein.
Collin Klein, aka Optimus Klein, is the quarterback for the Wildcats - and the leader in the Heisman Trophy balloting.
He's also the leader in the race for "best nickname", but that doesn't win you ball-games. To do that, OSU coach Mike Gundy says K-State relies on much more than Klein alone.
They are one of the most complete teams in the country, with play-makers on both sides of the ball. It will be a tough test for the 'Pokes and freshman QB Wes Lunt.
You can see the game on Tulsa's Channel 8, beginning at 7 PM.
