Tulsa Police Identify Bicyclist Hit, Killed On 71st Street Monda - KTUL.com - Tulsa, Oklahoma - News, Weather & Sports

Tulsa Police are looking for the driver they say is responsible for hitting a bicyclist and leaving the scene.

It happened just before 10:30 Monday evening on 71st street near Highway 75 and Tulsa Hills.

On Tuesday morning, Tulsa Police identified the victim involved in the collision as 21-year-old John Baluh.

Officers closed 71st street in both directions from 61st St. to the entrance to Tulsa Hills while they investigated the scene.

Police say a white car rear-ended Baluh who was riding eastbound on his bike in the left-hand lane.  

Baluh flipped over the top of the white car, then was hit by a second car.

The driver of the second car stopped, but the driver of the first car fled eastbound on 71st. Street.

Baluh was pronounced dead at a Tulsa hospital.

Officers say they are looking for a white car with extensive front-end damage.
