Voters Can Still Request Absentee Ballots Before Halloween Deadline

Posted: Updated:

Oklahomans who plan on voting through absentee ballot this election have until Wednesday to request the form.

While Wednesday may be all about Halloween candy, costumes and children trick-o-treating, voters who have time in between their activities can still request the absentee ballot as long as they do so before 5 p.m.

The Associated Press previously reported that State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax said election board officials already have distributed more than 66,000 absentee ballots, and nearly 32,000 Oklahomans already have been returned.

The application to request an absentee ballot can be found at all county election board offices and online, here.

The ballots must be notarized and returned either by postal mail or private delivery service by 7 p.m. on Nov. 6. Absentee ballots from physically incapacitated voters must be signed by two witnesses and returned the same time and date.
