VINITA, Okla. -
A Vinita woman was killed after being pinned for 45 minutes on US 60 Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Marilyn Turnbough, 43, was driving a 2003 Chevy Malibu approximately four miles East of Vinita when she struck a 2003 Peterbilt head-on.
The report states that Turnbough was distracted and went left of center, striking the Peterbilt which then caught fire. The driver of the Peterbilt, Jared Kleiboeker, 29, refused treatment at the scene.
Turnbough died at the scene from massive injuries, however, her passenger 41-year-old Betsy Gibson was treated and released from Craig General Hospital.
The report also states that seatbelts were not in use by Turnbough, but were used by the other two involved in the accident.
