TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A new motion from Tulsa prosecutors says two youth pastors at a Tulsa megachurch were legally required to report the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl on the ministry's campus the moment they had reason to believe child abuse had occurred.

Instead, the state argues in a court filing Wednesday that John and Charica Daugherty - the son and daughter-in-law of the head pastor at Victory Christian Center- waited more than two weeks to report the alleged rape.

The couple and three other employees at the 17,000-member ministry are each charged with a misdemeanor count of failing to report the alleged abuse to proper authorities. They all have pleaded not guilty.

Wednesday's filing was a response to a legal motion by the Daughertys asking that charges against them be dismissed.
