On election day, Sand Springs voters could decide to bring a monument to their community.
At 21 stories, "The American" would be taller than the Statue Of Liberty.
And the price is gigantic as well, $36-million in private funds.

Next Tuesday, Sand Springs voters will decide whether to increase a hotel tax to help pay for its promotion.
The tax increase would provide $90,000 in tourism money for Sand Springs.
