Five Car Accident on Memorial Drive

TULSA, Okla. -

Northbound Memorial Drive was blocked up after a five car accident took place Thursday, Nov. 1.

A Chevy suburban was driving north on Memorial towards 21st when it lost a tire and struck a vehicle in the left turn lane. The accident took place around 3:30 p.m.

The suburban then jumped over the median, striking a pickup truck and two other vehicles.

Despite there being five vehicles involved, only two injuries were reported. The two people injured were transported to area hospitals to be treated for minor injuries.

The middle lane of Memorial was shutdown for clean up.

On Sunday night a tornado went through the town of Carney. It destroyed or damaged about 40 homes. When you look out at the area there are homes in every direction that show some kind of damage. Some of the families that have lived there for 17 years and have never been through anything like this. They didn't even have enough time to get their family in the shelter.
