Police say drugs or alcohol may have played a role in a wreck that left two men pinned inside a truck at a Sapulpa park Sunday Evening.

Crews were called to Wickham Park in the 1600 block of South Hickory just before six o'clock.

Sapulpa Police Captain Brett Henson says witnesses observed the truck leave the road at a high rate of speed before it slammed into the tree. Henson says the two men were pinned inside the truck for about twenty minutes while rescue crews worked to free them.

Captain Henson tells KTUL.com, both were transported to area hospitals. Their condition was not immediately available.

Henson says charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
