Free Landfill Days for Bixby Residents Begin This Weekend

Posted: Updated:

Residents looking to get rid of excess trash or unwanted items can do so this month during Free Landfill Days.

The City of Bixby will be offering free landfill days for its residents beginning Nov. 9 and 10 and again on the 16 and 17. Residents can take their unwanted items to the Quarry Landfill, located at East 46th Street North in Tulsa.

While Bixby residents and utility customers can dispose of most unwanted items, exceptions include items containing Freon, such as air conditioners or refrigerators.

Those interested in taking part must show a City of Bixby utility bill or driver's license with an address within the Bixby City Limits in order to be admitted to the landfill.

For additional information contact the City of Bixby Neighborhood Services Office at (918) 366-4430 or the Quarry Landfill at (918) 439-7835.
