Lankford Wins District 5 Congressional Seat

James Lankford has been a member of Congress since 2010 and will extend his career after defeating Democratic Congressional Candidate.

Lankford defeated District 5 Democratic Congressional candidate Tom Guild with 67 percent of the votes.

Guild received 6,812 votes or 30 percent of the votes. 

Lankford also faced two Independent candidates, Robert T. Murphy and Pat Martin. Murphy took 441 votes, 4 percent and Martin took 410 votes, 4 percent.

Lankford received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Lankford voted against Obamacare in 2011. Lankford also wants to work reform tax policy.
