OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The swearing in of Oklahoma lawmakers has been scheduled.
State officials say the ceremony will be Wednesday at noon in the state Senate Chamber for all newly-elected and re-elected members.
The swearing-in ceremony comes as state Republicans celebrate huge wins that include the increase of GOP majorities in both the state House and Senate to historic levels.
Republicans had a net gain of 4 seats in the Senate for a 36-12 advantage. The GOP also gained three seats in the House for a new 72-29 margin - both the largest advantages ever for Republicans in the Oklahoma Legislature.

On Sunday night a tornado went through the town of Carney. It destroyed or damaged about 40 homes. When you look out at the area there are homes in every direction that show some kind of damage. Some of the families that have lived there for 17 years and have never been through anything like this. They didn't even have enough time to get their family in the shelter.
