Area charities come up big for victims of this summer's destructive wildfires.
A check for exactly $238,787.78 was written to the Tulsa American Red Cross Chapter and presented in a ceremony Wednesday.
The donation was made by the Lobeck-Taylor Family Foundation on behalf of fundraising efforts from the Tulsa Community Foundation, Bank of Oklahoma, and Lobeck-Taylor Family Grant.
American Red Cross responders were there for support after the fire with more than 21,000 meals and hundreds of personal hygiene kits, rakes, shovels and recovery supplies.
