Posted: Updated:

The Salvation Army Angel Tree will be decked out today, Nov. 17.

Over 7,500 angels will be featured on two different trees featured at Promenade Mall and Woodland Hills Mall.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at Promenade and 1 p.m. at Woodland Hills. The angel trees will remain up until Dec. 12.

In other Christmas news, Santa Claus will be arriving by helicopter at Tulsa Promenade Mall today, Nov.17 at 2 p.m.

The mall will also feature a parade with plenty of mascots, a blood drive and Holiday Mail for Heroes. Visitors can donate blood between noon and 4 p.m. The holiday mail will be sent to the United States Armed Forces, veterans and their families to give them all a "sense of home."

Also happening this weekend, An Affair of the Heart will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.

The event will take place at the QuikTrip Center at Expo Square and features one-of-a-kind items such as jewelry, furniture, clothing and gourmet food. Cost of admission is $7.

The Philbrook Museum Festival of Trees opens today 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event features art, gingerbread houses and trees designed by regional artists, community groups and students.

For Philbrook Museum members, the event is free, however other Tulsans can enjoy the event for $10. Visitors are encouraged to RSVP to the event.

While you are at the Philbrook, be sure to check out the Max Weber exhibit, which runs until February 3, and the "Scenes from the Low Countries" exhibit, which closes January 20, 2013.

For some nighttime fun, the Living Arts of Tulsa will be hosting 18th Annual Holiday Sale, Champagne and Chocolate. The event starts at 7 p.m. and it costs $50 at the door.

Don't forget that the Route 66 Marathon kicked off today, with more events tomorrow.
