Tulsa police seek the man they believed is connected with an east-side motel shooting.

Investigators are searching for 44-year-old Donald Hallett. Detectives said he's a suspect in the incident and may have the weapon that was used.

Officers were called to Motel 6 Tuesday morning around 12:30 am when guests heard gunfire from a neighboring room. Some guests also saw a truck peel away from the scene.

Shortly after, a shooting victim was dropped off at Hillcrest Hospital. The people who left the patient didn't stick around to answer police questions. Officers figured out the person was the same one who had been shot at the motel.

Police need your help finding Hallett. TPD Sgt. Dave Walker said detectives think he's driving a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado pick up with Oklahoma tag 847 HLS.

"The victim is in Hillcrest in stable condition.  It is unknown the reason for the shooting and we have not ruled that this was an accident.  It is obvious that Mr. Hallett is avoiding giving us a statement and therefore he should be considered armed and dangerous," Walker said.

If you have information on Hallett, call Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-2677,  the Homicide Tip Line 918 798 8477 or email homicide@cityoftulsa.org.
