Tulsa Man Arrested For Attempted Rape After He Watched Porn

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa Police have arrested a man for attempting to rape a woman after he says he watched pornography.

It happened Monday evening just before 9 o'clock.

Officers say Norman Williams, 20, said he had been watching pornography earlier in the day and said he "had a sexual urge."

An arrest report indicates Williams was walking by a Subway restaurant at 61st St. S and 33rd W. Ave. when he noticed there were no customers.

Surveillance footage shows William walking in, locking the door from the inside and ordering a sandwich from the female Sandwich Artist.

Officers say he then came up behind the victim and grabbed her and tried to have sex with her.

She asked him to please not do that and told him there were cameras.  He kissed her feet and left the store, then she called 911.

Police say he went back to his home.

When officers interviewed William, the arrest report indicates that he agreed the victim was scared and that what he did was wrong, but he had a strong sexual urge.

He was arrested on an attempted first degree rape complaint and booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
