Free Thanksgiving Meals Provided by Restaurants, Organizations on Thursday

Free food never hurt. Especially when it's for veterans or those who have fallen on hard times here in Tulsa.

But here on KTUL.com, we've compiled a list of restaurants and organizations giving out free meals on Thanksgiving. Tulsans will be giving back to the community through food at certain locations.

First United Methodist Church: The Tulsa church will be out on Thursday at Owen Park continuing their weekly food handout with a Thanksgiving meal instead. At least 350 people are expected. The church serves free hamburgers and hotdogs every Thursday.

 

Osage Casino - Sand Springs: The Cafe will serve free lunch and dinner to all United States military personnel, active National Guard or veterans. All you need to do is just present military ID or other proof of service to get in on their herb roasted chicken, pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes.

 

Corner Cafe: The restaurant will continue their annual free Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. Anyone is welcome to the come enjoy their feast at the location on 1103 S Peoria.

 

Salvation Army: The Tulsa Area organization is expecting to serve more than 1,000 residents on Thanksgiving. The dinner will begin at 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. at the Center of Hope on North Denver. Anyone is welcome to come join.

 

Loaves and Fishes Ministries: From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a traditional Thanksgiving meal will be served at the Southeast Tulsa Free Will Baptist Church. Ham and a box of food will also be given to families following their free meal. At least 300 are expected.

 

Tally's: Those looking to stay away from the kitchen this holiday can head to Tally's on 11th & Yale for a free Thanksgiving meal. Food will be provided from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for anyone interested.

 

Broken Arrow: Residents can head to Duffy's Restaurant on 81st and 161st East Ave. (Houston & Elm) for a free Thanksgiving meal. This is the restaurant's 30th year to serve the feast and open to the public.
