Tulsa Police Step up Enforcement Along Dangerous Intersection
Those on the road this week may want to think twice before they run that red light as Tulsa Police step up enforcement.
In an effort to curb injury collisions at intersections, Mingo Valley Division's Traffic Unit will shift their focus on red light violations through Nov. 30. Officers will be located at all intersections on South Memorial Drive.
According to TPD's release, citations will be issued for the violations with no warnings at a cost of $200. And drivers are encouraged to pay special attention to all traffic signals.
TPD also mentioned that South Memorial Drive has several of the most dangerous intersections in the City of Tulsa. Their Traffic Unit's goal will be to reduce the frequency and severity of those collisions.
